About Me - Joelle. Owner of Canine Comforts
My love for animals began when I was a child, helping my grandmother raise her first litter of puppies on our family farm. Watching her care for every puppy with patience and intention taught me that pets aren't just animals, they're family. Those early experiences inspired a lifelong passion for animal care that eventually became my career.
As I grew older, I worked in a dog boarding facility and doggy daycare, where I received hands-on training in medication administration, dog CPR, emergency care, and safely handling dogs with a wide range of personalities and behaviors. While I gained invaluable experience, I also saw firsthand the challenges many boarding facilities face. Even the most caring staff can only do so much when one person is responsible for dozens of dogs. That experience inspired me to create something different.
I started Canine Comforts because I wanted to provide the kind of care I would want for my own pets; personalized, compassionate, and centered around keeping animals comfortable in the place they know best: home. Instead of the stress of a kennel, your pet gets one-on-one attention, familiar surroundings, and a consistent routine while you're away.
Communication and trust are at the heart of everything I do. I provide regular updates, photos, and notes so you always know how your pets are doing and can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. My goal is to build lasting relationships with the families I work with and care for every pet as if they were my own.
At the end of the day, this isn't just a job to me, it's what I love. My mission is simple: to provide safe, loving, dependable in-home pet care so you can leave home knowing your pets are happy, comfortable, and in caring hands.
