My earliest memories of working with animals trace back to my childhood, helping my grandmother raise her first litter of puppies on our farm. Those formative experiences, nurturing and caring for the puppies, sparked a deep love for dogs and ignited my passion for working with animals. These cherished moments laid the foundation for my lifelong dedication to animal care.

 

My grandmother's work as a dog caretaker profoundly influenced my relationship with animals. She instilled in me a passion for the human-dog connection, ensuring that families who wanted her dogs were a perfect fit. She hated puppy mills and was concerned about kennel practices. Her dedication and love for dogs not only inspired my passion for animal care but also guided me to pursue a professional path in this field, emphasizing compassion, responsibility, and a deep understanding of animals' needs.

 

Simultaneously, working in online customer service has made me a more empathetic business owner. Understanding customers' needs and providing first-hand assistance has taught me the importance of empathy in business. I believe everyone aspiring to run a business should experience service work, as it offers invaluable insights into people's wants and how to meet them effectively.

 

I bring years of experience from working in a boarding facility and doggy daycare, where I was trained in administering medications, managing aggressive behavior, and performing dog CPR and emergency vet care. These qualifications equip me with the skills and knowledge to provide the best care for your pets, ensuring their safety and well-being.

 

Working at a dog boarding facility was both an educational and challenging experience. I gained valuable skills, such as animal CPR and medication administration, and formed lifelong friendships. However, the job also highlighted the issues inherent in such facilities—staffing problems, insufficient attention to each dog, and safety concerns due to poor management. These challenges ultimately led me to leave the job and seek a better alternative.

 

The realization that there should be a better alternative to traditional boarding facilities was a turning point for me. I envisioned a service where pets receive personalized care in their own homes, providing peace of mind for their owners. This vision motivated me to start my own in-home pet care and home sitting business, where I could offer dedicated, individualized attention to each pet.
